  • The tenure ends automatically when the project ends.
  • If you want to resign, you must give 30 days’ notice.
  • Anyone currently working on an ICMR or DHR-sanctioned project must attach a No-Objection Certificate from their Principal Investigator.
  • You should be able to communicate fluently in English, Marathi and Hindi.
  • The role involves regular travel across rural and urban parts of Nagpur district.

  • Canvassing in any form leads to rejection of the application.

Preparation Tips for Applicants

  • Revise the test topics in order of weight. Start with basic epidemiology (study designs, incidence versus prevalence, bias), then move to NCD risk factors and the goals of NP-NCD.
  • Understand implementation research. It focuses on how proven health interventions can be delivered effectively in real communities, so expect questions on that idea rather than on lab science.
  • Be ready to discuss fieldwork. Since the job is community-based, interviewers may ask about surveys, household visits, data collection and working with local health workers.
  • Practise a short qualitative research answer. Know the difference between interviews, focus group discussions and observation.
  • Keep documents ready: degree certificates, mark sheets, experience letters, ID proof, caste certificate if claiming relaxation, and an NOC if applicable.
